Lakewood casinos open for business

As of 12:23 p.m., the county elections department reports that the voting was 3,259 (38.6%) yes, 5,191 (61.4%) no. The News Tribune called it "rejected" earlier this morning:

Voters widely rejecting proposal to ban casinos in Lakewood

A proposal to ban minicasinos in Lakewood was failing Tuesday night. Initial counts from the Pierce County Auditor’s Office showed Proposition 1, the city’s first citizen-led initiative, going down by a wide margin.
